My Story
Sheri Mandell believes loneliness is one of the most misunderstood struggles of modern life—and that the patterns keeping us stuck can begin to change once we learn to see them clearly.

Sheri Mandell is the author of The Butterfly in You: Finding the End to Loneliness, a memoir and reflection guide that uses the symbolic journey of tarot’s Major Arcana to explore the emotional patterns that shape our lives—and how we can change them.

Sheri’s career has taken an unconventional path through creativity, wellness, and personal transformation. She began her professional life in the music industry as an image consultant and stylist, working with major record labels including RCA, CBS, and Warner Bros. Records.

After taking time away to raise her family, Sheri returned to the workforce with a deeper calling—helping people reconnect their minds and bodies in a world increasingly dominated by distraction and disconnection.

Choosing the path of wellness, Sheri studied at the world’s largest nutrition school, where she explored more than one hundred dietary theories and earned certification through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. During this time she became deeply immersed in meditation and later completed meditation training through the Chopra Center for Wellbeing, where she trained in teaching the positive impact meditation has on physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.

For more than fifteen years, Sheri has taught mindfulness and meditation to both seniors and children. She currently works with young students through her program 123 Breathe With Me, where she introduces simple breathing techniques and awareness practices that help children manage stress, regulate emotions, and reconnect with themselves.

Her book, The Butterfly in You, uses the first twenty-two cards of the tarot’s Major Arcana—from The Fool to The World—as a symbolic map of life’s emotional journey. Rather than predicting the future, Sheri teaches that tarot can serve as a mirror for self-reflection, helping readers recognize patterns and reclaim their power to change.

At the heart of Sheri’s work is a simple but urgent mission: helping people overcome loneliness by learning to understand themselves more deeply.

Sheri lives in Lincoln, California with her beloved dog Jackie and is the proud mother of two children.
